Robome?
Some years ago I wrote a short children’s book, Robome. It's about a spoiled kid who cannot get along with other kids because he always has to have things his way. His clever parents buy him a robot playmate programmed to be “just like him.”
As Jimmy plays with “RoboJimmy,” his Robot alter ego learns to emulate Jimmy’s selfish behavior and predictable and [I hope] entertaining consequences ensue. Eventually,, Jimmy learns that only by modifying his behavior can he teach RoboJimmy and himself to be better friends. The conventional thinking is that because Jimmy, as we meet him, is not particularly likable, there is “no market” for this book. I’m thinking of self-publishing. What do you think?
